It really was a warm, family book that reminds me of our Thanksgivings. My girls (5 & 3) really liked it, too.

This story was inspired by my Thanksgivings in Massachusetts when we went to grandma's house for turkey dinner with my cousins.

No really.. it is simple!

Dr. Peck's Pedi Review actually was simplified. I preferred to use it over my required textbook because it was so clear and concise. It gave me exactly what I needed without spending 20 hours reading. Personally I am a visual learner and loved the charts that broke the information down. The humorous acronyms and mnemonics helped me to remember content right off the top of my head (super useful while in clinical). While taking my exams, I literally would recall the funny image, acronym, or mnemonic on the subject presented in the test question in order to help me answer it. I am such a fan of the book that I passed mine along to underclassmen at my nursing school and have shared it with friends in the (pedi) Occupational Therapy field.

Excellent book (Makes a wonderful gift)

This is an excellent book and I heartily recommend it to those that are interested in mechanical engineering, astronomy etc.
The pictures along with the descriptions are very useful to see what is going on. The extensive footnotes detailing where he was able to glean the information is especially useful and welcomed.
Mr. Kotsanas has beautifully explained how these ancient devices work. I congratulate him for this.
The information along with the pictures and illustrations that are presented in this book warrants a hard copy edition being printed.

Great book on Greek Inventions

This book covers hundreds of inventions. It is written in both English and Greek and there is an illustration and explanation for each invention. It covers quite a wide range of inventions including: inventions for astrology, clocks, the theater and even toys.

Also kind of neat is the fact that the book was shipped from Greece by its author who created a museum for Greek inventions and has built a replica of many of the inventions in the book.

We visited the museum in Katakalon last year and I wished I had bought the book then. But it was nice to be able to purchase it a year later. It came very quickly and I will treasure it forever. This book tells in both Greek and English how the ancient people were able to build the things they did. Very helpful and informative.
